We Motivate and Inspire

Founded on October 19, 1953, Greater St. John Baptist Church in Dundalk has been serving communities in select Maryland locations for more than 65 years. Led by Rev. M. Jamal Foster, our church moves to motivate and inspire community members to establish a closer relationship with God.

I Timothy 4:12 - Let no man despise the youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Our Pastor

Rev. M. Jamal Foster

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Rev. M. Jamal Foster was biblically reared by his grandmother in Northwest Baltimore where he attended Baltimore City Catholic Schools. He is a product of the prestigious education of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, The Oral Roberts University and Azusa School of Ministry and Leadership Development in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and The Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. Rev. Foster is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Pastoral Leadership.

Bred on the teachings of the Concord Baptist Church of Baltimore under the pastorate of Rev. Matthew Silver and Rev. Dr. Matthew L. Jones, he later responded to the call of the ministry to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. On May 13, 1993, he obtained his license to preach from the Greater Gethsemane Christian fellowship in Pennsylvania.
